About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) related to a federal contract opportunity for Cell Phone Booster Installation at Hurlburt Field. The RFI provides responses to several questions about the requirements, including the total square footage of the second floor, the distance between the rooms where the boosters will be installed, the types of cables required, and the roof location for antenna installation. The RFI also discusses the contractor's ability to offer a solution that is carrier-approved and can expand to other parts of the building, as well as the work hours for the installation. The related federal contract opportunity is Solicitation Number FA441724Q0067, which is a Firm Fixed Price contract for the installation of three customer-provided WeBoost Office 100 (75 Ohm) cell signal boosters. The contract is a Total Small Business Set-Aside, and the contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for the award.

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

CELL PHONE BOOSTER INSTALLATION

1. What is the total square footage of the second floor? The total square footage of the second floor is 18,133 square feet, but fir the areas that need coverage it will be about 12,000 square feet.

2. What is the distance between the three rooms where the cell signal boosters will be installed to help determine the cable lengths needed to connect the antennas to the boosters? The unit has the equipment that needs to be installed which includes a 75’ cable and a 60’ cable to connect from outside antenna to booster and from booster to the indoor antenna

3. Please specify the types of cables required for installaon (e.g. coaxial cables like RG6or RG11, or fiber opc cables). See number 2. We have the cables on-hand they are RG-11 coax cables

4. Please confirm the exact roof locaon for antenna installaon. Exact locaon to be determined by the contractor based on their recommendaon for best coverage and minimize interference between systems

5. In the specificaons I see 3 separate boosters with 3 omni antennas for donors. Having this configuraon will typically cause interference within the system (each system picking up the other and retransming it) and possibly effecng the carrier network prompng at minimum a demand leter from the carrier and or a cease and desist by the FCC demanding you turn off the repeaters. Is there the ability to offer a soluon that is carrier approved and recommended and also has the ability to expand to other parts of the building and also other buildings in close proximity as needed? We have three systems on-hand and are open to recommendaons of the contractor on the exact placement of 1, 2 or all three systems to provide the best coverage of the three work areas. We are not looking to expand into any other parts of the building or outside of the building. This is the systems that need to be installed htps://www.weboost.com/products/weboost-office-100-75-ohm

Work hours are 0700 – 1600 Monday through Friday not including Holidays or Wing Safety / Down Days.
