RFQ FA441722Q0005 - Hurlburt Live Fire Range
Questions and Answers
1. Question 1 – In an effort to give the Government as many ordering options as possible, can we modify Attachment 3 (Price List) with additional CLINs and/or sub CLINs? Or would the Government prefer we fill out the Price List as is and provide the additional information as a separate addendum to Attachment 3?
Answer 1 – The price list and associated Combined synopsis has been updated as follows:
--Rate for daily use of pistol range
--Rate for daily use of 100m range
--Rate for daily use of 600m range
--Rate for daily instructor lodging
--Rate for daily student lodging
If there are other rates available for services provided at your facility, please include those rates as a separate attachment. Also, please provide a description of the provided service.
2. Question 2 – For CLIN 0001 in Attachment 3 “Shooting Range Facility Rental (per day)” – Does that daily rate rent the entire venue or is that rate meant to cover an individual range/training area within the greater venue?
Answer 2 – -Shooting Range Facility Rental is for the individual ranges required per the Statement of Work only as long as there is no safety issues with adjoining ranges. (1.1.5. Any other live fire ranges directly facing 371 SOCTS reserved areas will not be in use while training is being conducted.
The contractor will ensure access to these other ranges is prevented by locking associated gates and posting clearly visible “Off Limit” signs. A government representative from the 371 SOCTS will make certain this is complied with prior to the execution of training. No other users will be allowed on the ranges reserved for the 371 SOCTS or ranges directly facing them.)
3. Question 3 – Would the Government be able to send a description, picture, or a link to the specific cross piece barricade that 371 SOCTS prefers?
Answer 3 – Pictures of three different types of preferred barricades are depicted below.
4. Question 4 – In Section 1.1.6 is the intention for mobile door frames to be used for shotgun breaching? If so, which type of rounds will they use (Hatton, Buck Shot, Other)? If not, what is the intention for the mobile door frames?
Answer 4 - Door frames will NOT be used for breaching. Door frames will be used to teach initial room entry (no breaching) and to teach shooting from cover (weapons side / support side - as an alternative to stacked barrels)
