1. Does the Government prefer gray flecking in the rubber to minimize the appearance of dirt as opposed to solid black coloring?
A: Gray flecking is acceptable.
2. Does the Government intend to drop weights directly onto the performance rubber flooring?
A: No
3. Does the Government prefer any yard lines or markings in the turf?
A: No, markings are not required.
4. Market research is showing no rubber or turf flooring that is antimicrobial in it's manufactured specifications. Does the Government have a basis of design or individual specifications of antimicrobial rubber and turf flooring?
A: No
5. If no antimicrobial rubber or turf flooring is available, does the Government require an after-market antimicrobial application?
A: Yes, in order to comply with The Joint Commission standards relating to sanitization of surfaces related to prevention of bloodborne pathogens.
6. Will the Government accept rubber and turf flooring that is able to be cleaned/sanitized with antimicrobial cleansers?
A: Yes
7. Removal of the existing carpet is specifically stated in the basic services; however, please clarify for baseboards.
a. Should the removal of baseboards be included in scope of work and pricing?
A: Removal of baseboards should be included in scope of work and pricing if the contractor sees fit that they must be removed to install flooring appropriately.
b. Should new base boards be installed once surfacing has been installed? If so, please specify color.
A: Black baseboard is or similar color to existing is acceptable.
8. There are 2 drains in the “garage” area. Would the government like the drains to be exposed or covered by the turf?
A: The drains shall be covered by the turf.
