RFQ FA441721QC120

Questions & Answers 15 July 2021

1. The SOW states the contractor shall dismantle, remove, and dispose of all existing hardware. What is this referring to?

A: There is no requirement for dismantling, removal, or disposal. The SOW has been updated to remove the language.

2. What is the actual length?

A: The system should cover an estimated 140 foot span in order to provide fall protection as required by the mission.

3. Can the testing be clarified?

A: The SOW has been updated to reference the appropriate AFMAN 91‐203 paragraphs that the fall restraint system should be inspected and tested in compliance with.

4. Are structural drawings available?

A: We are currently working on getting structural drawings for the hangar. Three (3) pictures are included of the site where the system is to be installed. There are 2 pictures of the hangar ceiling from two different angles. There is a third a picture showing a blue line is where the fall protection is to be installed. The white line is for the existing overhead hoist – the fall protection needs to be above that.

5. Are there existing Overhead Bridge Cranes?

A: Yes. There is an existing overhead hoist/crane. The fall protection needs to be above it.

6. Is all welding prohibited?

A: Yes. Welding is prohibited.

7. What is the required delivery/completion of the project?

A: There is not a required timeline to complete the requirement. Please provide your lead time, including both material and installation labor, with your quote.
