No, there are no CAD drawings available for this requirement. We expect the Typicals selected to fit the areas where furniture is needed.

Approximately 20 feet

No additional electrical requirements are needed for the desks. The only requirement is that the desks with lights in the hutches come with the ability to be plugged into a standard 3 prong wall outlet.

Questions & Responses

16. Do you have a drawing of the space that you are adding the new furniture? It can be a PDF, just something to give to my designer. We attached a few PDF’s. Please note, one of the layouts is not correct, I noted it within the PDF itself.

17. There is a section about power but no power called out in the typical. Will I need an electrician for this particular job? We do not require help with power.

18. I’m not seeing any seating being called out, will you need seating? No seating needed.

19. Is there a reason why you want a veneer work surface? Laminate (wood textured and wood grain colors) is so much more durable. We can do wood but it’s going to be much more expensive and won’t be nearly as durable. We are good with something less expensive and that lasts longer.

20. Are there any type of panel systems in place? Or are any expected in this solicitation? The typical looks like it is a form of panel system but it calls for free standing desk. Currently, we have panels. I would like to keep the same set-up, keeping within our budget.

21. If you are stuck on veneer, can we do a veneer laminate combo? It would cut down on the cost and save you money. We prefer whatever is going to look good and last the longest

22. The PWS states that 6 office tables are to be removed from the site. Are these tables in BLDG 91140 or BLDG 91146 and approx. how large are the tables? We asked on the site and were told that we would only be removing desk. Removal would be for three 48” tables and three 6’ tables. Five of them are in 91140 and one are in 91145.

23. The PWS mentioned a demountable wall to be removed. I did not see any demountable wall is there one? The only walls requested for removal are the ones panel system walls currently attached to all of our currents desks.

24. Will we also need to dispose of the panels around the existing desk? Yes.

25. In the PWS, typical 3 is a freestanding U-shaped desk (quantity of 1 needed). However, there is no U-shaped desk noted on the marked-up floorplan. Is it within the scope of the work? I have attached an updated floorplan that shows where the U-Shaped desk will go. NOTE: All floor plans are for reference only. Sizes and locations are approximate and may not be exact.

26. The PWS states that 21 freestanding double pedestal desks (typical 1) is needed. I counted 22 straight double pedestal desk, 15 on the DOP floorplan and 7 in BLDG 91146 – training room.

Which is it? Yes, it should be 22 straight double pedestal desks (See PWS CAO 29 May 2020)

27. If we will need panel systems for the desk then shouldn’t the solicitation read systems furniture and not free standing desk so it will match the existing furniture? No Panel systems needed, just free standing desks. Biggest thing for us is L-Shaped desks to have the hutch.
