K9 Turf Questions

1. Are there any sub terrain water (irrigation) or electricity pipes that may hinder leveling/tree removal?

Please see question 2

2. Do you have a map/layout of known utilities in the area?

3. What is the specification for base work? How much soil would you like us to remove?

Please provide minimal amount of soil removed.

Per the statement of work – a minimum of 3” of soil is to be removed and hauled off base

4. Does this area have drainage issues?

The Government is not aware of any drainage issues. However, this area is situated next to wetlands.

5. Can the soils that are removed stay on site or must be removed from base?

Soils removed from the site must be removed from base.

6. How far is storm water tie ins to the location?

Please see the attached map depicting the drainage ditches/swales along both the south and east sides if the kennel. Their approximate distances from the kennel can be measured either from the attached map or in the field. Measuring from the Kennel due southwest the distance to the existing ditch is approximately 150’ + and the ditch across Walk Up Way from the kennel is approximately 120 ‘+.

7. Would you like an alter for cooling technology? Example: organic infill to assist in keeping the temperatures more like natural grass.

Turf being requested is Infill-free.

8. Is a manufacture and a workmanship warranty required for this project?

Per the statement of work – a 2 year workmanship warranty and a 10 year manufacture warranty is required.
