Questions & Answers

1. Is there a site visit scheduled for Solicitation Number: FA4417-17-T-0015?
A site visit will not be held for this IDIQ. The awardee will have the opportunity for a site visit prior to the issuance of each Task Order (PWS paragraph 3.2).
2. If not, what availability do you have for a site visit?
A site visit will not be given to a contractor (on an individual basis) as a part of the solicitation process.
3. What was the award amount for the previous HVAC Duct Cleaning contract on Hurlburt Field, FL, and to whom was the contract awarded?
The previous contract for HVAC Duct Cleaning on Hurlburt Field, FL, FA4417- 15-D-0001; was awarded in the amount of $328,164.26 to Gulf Coast Air Care Inc.
However, please be advised that the scope of the current solicitation is significantly different from the previous contract.
4. The solicitation states, 400 diffusers/registers. Does this mean that we are replacing them? Cleaning them? Or just delivering 400 diffusers?
The diffusers are to be cleaned.
5. The solicitation states, 50,000 square feet of ductwork to be cleaned. When you say 50,000 SF of ductwork. Does Hurlburt already have a building(s) that need its ductwork cleaned? Or is this more of an as needed basis for when Hurlburt needs HVAC duct cleaning?
Both, there are facilities that are awaiting cleaning, and there are additional facilities that are still awaiting measurements to be calculated.
6. Do you already have a contract for AHU coil/blower/interior housing cleaning?
The Government is responsible for cleaning all components of AHU unit.
7. What Florida License is required to bid on this project?
There is not a specific State License that is required to submit a quote for this requirement. However, as stated in PWS 5.2.4, prospective companies shall be members of the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA), and all employees performing cleaning services shall be certified as Air System Cleaning Specialists (ASCS) by the NADCA.
