Text version

Please note, the Statement of Work in the Solicitation has been updated to reflect these questions and answers.

1) I do not see hand guards on the requirement. Was this missed as it is usually a standard for these types of bikes.

Hand guards are needed.

2) It’s noted that the bike are to be powered coated Desert Tan. Can you have them clarify the color scheme? Specifically:

a. For the Tan Powder coat, is this only the main frame and rear swing arm? Our rims are standard Black as pictured.

This is correct. Tan Powder coat for the main frame and rear swing arm. The rims can be black.

3) The requirement calls for a Baja Design IR Headlight. Do they want and LED Light AND and IR light? Or a standard Headlight with IR? They are two separate lighting systems that we can combine into one headlight assembly. I believe this is what they want. (see attached pic)

The request is for LED AND IR Light.

4) Delivery: What is the expected delivery time of the bikes vs. the training? I assume the bikes can be delivered in groups of 10-20? And do the bikes go to the different locations or will they be delivered to the same location?

The intent is for the bikes to be available at the contractors designated facility for training, within 60 days after contract award. After training is complete, the bikes will need to be delivered to the different locations provided in the Statement of Work.

5) Finally, there is no mention of the payment schedule. What is the expectation and can we proposed a schedule as these are built to order.

Payment will be 30 days after invoice.

The motorcycles can be invoiced once they are complete and available for training at the contractors training location. A Government representative will inspect the motorcycles to allow payment to be made on the invoice.

Training can be invoiced at the completion of each training session.

The final requirement for delivery of the motorcycles to the different locations can be invoiced once the destinations provided in the Statement of work.
