Response to Questions:

FA4417-14-R-0041 – Energy Monitoring System

Question 1: It was stated in a response to questions that no other hardware or software would work with the existing System 8000 products you have. From past experience and advice from our Honeywell rep, we are confident that Honeywell's Niagara AX controllers will integrate with another Niagara based system. As per the original solicitation substitutions that meet or exceed the specified product could be submitted. It is our position that the product we would use is a better unit than the ENC520.

Response: Schneider Electric G-3 system is the only Niagara based device that can legally have the NW 8000 driver needed to integrate to 3000 scadas already installed. This was taken to federal court several years ago, thus the G-3 branding of this product line. G-3 platform supports tunneling for scada inquiry for BACnet and NW 8000, a must. And once again CTO/RTO to operate on the VLAN was submitted with full system architecture including all scada devices.

Question 2: It is our understanding that the ENC520 is to be discontinued very soon.

It does not make sense to install a product that is going to be obsolete.

Response: They have already addressed this hardware issue and have a new part number for the Schneider Electric G-3 system.

Question 3: The Honeywell WEBS-600-US is a current standard Honeywell product that is compatible with the current versions of Tridium's Niagara AX software.

It is a US built product meeting the requirements of the Buy American provisions of most federal contracts. Please review the attached data sheet and consider this product for the intended application.

Response: Schneider Electric G-3 system is American built. The data sheet has no mention of the NW 8000 required for this application.
