Text version
1. Will the cameras and NVR/DVR be set up as a standalone and not incorporated into the base security system? Yes
2. On the NVR/DVR in addition to the follow-on requirement for external cameras, will there be a need for additional ports for potential additional cameras? Yes
3. What is the time period from when the camera locations are identified to the abatement of those areas prior to installation? The camera locations have been identified in Addendum A;
however, this is the reason why there is an option CLIN as work will be done to abate the areas with lead/asbestos for the exterior camera install.
4. Can we run the CAT6 cabling through the air vents/ducts if I use PTFE or Teflon-coated cable?
*This option should prevent most of the drilling into the walls, which would require additional abatement* No you can run it around air vents, under, on top, but not inside
5. Is facial recognition is necessary? No
6. Will panoramic cameras work? As long as there is a digital zoom capacity without excess loss of resolution
7. Can you relabel the map such as the subject interview room and add what you want to see in those areas? Yes, see Attachment 4, P43 Camera Project 2022 Overview
8. Must audio be able to be turned off and on in all routed locations? Yes
9. Will you accept multisensory cameras? Yes
10. Is the roof structurally sound (like the balcony area)? Yes; however, it is not a full load bearing structure but is secure enough to be walked on and install cameras.
11. Can we drill into the building for the optional CLIN like is P43 a historical building and will there be any issues with Base Engineering? It is a historical building and there is a precedence on base for the historic society accepting drilling into mortar, but not brick to install cameras. However, approval will depend on the drilled hole size and placement location. The Government cannot fully guarantee what the historical society will say. When the contractor is selected, the
Government will work together to submit this package to the historically society for approval.
12. Is there an open ceiling in the USACE part of P43? Yes
13. Is there a hard ceiling above in the evidence room? Yes
14. Can you provide the camera layout separate from the PWS?
Yes, see Attachment 4, P43 Camera Project 2022 Overview
15. Can you provide a building schematic for the OSI building, or street intersections so it can be found on google earth? Provided-see Attachment 4, P43 Camera Project 2022 Overview
