Questions and Answers for Request for Quote # FA303025Q0027
Question:
1. Would you have the plans and specs for this project?
Answer:
The Government does not have any technical drawings but below is a photo and illustration for reference of the visualized setup of the 200-Ton chiller. All components of the required chiller must be prefabricated on a trailer as seen below. Trailer should come with transformer, pump, piping, etc. installed and turn-key ready to use.
Question:
1. Are you requesting BOTH install and delivery or just delivery?
Answer: It will be delivery only because this will be a purchase of the 200-ton portable chiller, and no installation is required.
Questions:
1. Are there any drawings that can help us understand the full scope of work, such as As-builts, plans for installation, or any other drawings that have not been provided yet?
Answer: Please reference above photo and illustration.
2. With the J&A, are we to pay for the chiller ourselves, or is the government providing it?
Answer: Purchasing the TRANE chiller is a part of the contract.
3. How many units will the Chiller be connected to?
Answer Not relative to the contract.
4. Will this be a single duct chiller or will each duct be run individually?
Answer The contract is for a trailer mounted 200 Ton TRANE air-cooled chiller.
5. Where is the location of the chiller going to be placed along the building If it is on the ground, is the concrete pad already created and tested to hold the weight? What is the current condition of the pad?
Answer Not relative to the contract.
6. What is the distance between the chiller and the building Answer Not relative to this contract.
If it will be a rooftop unit, what is the roof's current status, and where will it be placed?
7. Will there be penetrations into the roof, is there an existing rooftop curb, and is there any planned reinforcement for a rooftop unit?
8. What building will this be installed onto?
