About this file

This is a memorandum from the Department of the Air Force, Headquarters 14th Flying Training Wing at Columbus Air Force Base, establishing mandatory safeguarding procedures for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) by all contractors and subcontractors at any tier.

The memorandum requires all contractors with access to CUI materials to complete DoD mandatory CUI training from MyLearning before accessing CUI or within 30 days of assignment to Columbus Air Force Base. Training materials shall be attached to solicitation postings on Government Point of Entry systems to accommodate civilian contractors unable to access MyLearning. Contractors must sign and return this memorandum as acknowledgment of completing the training prior to receiving any contract or contract material classified as CUI. The procedures apply to all individuals under prime contractors, including subcontractors, and compliance is mandatory. FAR Clause 52.240-93 (Basic Safeguarding of Covered Contractor Information Systems) shall be inserted in solicitations or contracts requiring contractors to have Federal contract information residing in or transiting through their information systems. Contractors or subcontractors must notify the Contracting Officer of any improper CUI disclosure within 72 hours of occurrence. Violations may result in recourse determined by 14 CONS/CC and CAFB Wing Information Protection Officer, including retaking CUI training, debarment from base, or contract termination.
