Vendor Submitted Questions with Government Responses
Question 1: Do you have a layout drawing of the shelving that you are able to share?
Answer 1: Please see attached diagram of the shelving units with specs Question 2: 1. The RFQ asks for 26” isle which is very narrow. Can you confirm with the customer that this is accurate? Metro can do it, just want to confirm. Metro recommends no less than 30” isle.
Answer 2: Our current measurements for the shelving units are 27 ½. We believe the 30” isle will work best.
Question 3: 2. The RFQ asks for (2) systems with (5) mobile units with (4) shelves. To meet that requirement, it would equal (40) 2160NS shelves, not (50) that is listed. Do you want a quote for (50) 2160NS shelves or
(40) 2160NS?
Answer 3: We would like the quote for (50) 2160NS shelves.
Question 4: Our supplier can probably get by with at the smallest 33” but not the requested 26” Sheppard AFB has requested. Because we are losing about 8-10” to increase the Aisle Space the layout of the Top Track will change. We have 2 layouts to choose from. Could you please reach out to the Customer and see which they prefer.
a. Stay with requested 24” End Units and (4) 21” Mobile Kits, not (5). Same 12’ Top Track, or
b. Decrease to 21” End Units and stay with (5) 21” Mobile Kits, same 12’ Top Track
Answer 4: B. Decrease to 21” End Units and stay with (5) 21” Mobile Kits, same 12’ Top Track Question 5: Regarding FA302024Q0073 Shelving Units, did you want to add installation? These are slightly complicated to install Answer 5: No installation needed.
