QUESTIONS & GOVERNMENT PROVIDED ANSWERS – FA3020-22-R-A004,
Occupied and Unoccupied Dormitory Cleaning Services
Q21: PWS 1.9 how many smoke detectors are there to be checked?
Answer Q21: 196 smoke detectors. 196 carbon monoxide detectors have been added to the PWS.
Q21 Clarification: Based on the Q and A there has been 196 smoke detectors and 196 CO2 detectors added to the PWS. However, attachment 1 of amendment 0001 lists a qty of 4. Please advise as to what QTY we are to price.
Answer Q21 Clarification:
PWS 1.9. Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector Checks. The contractor shall check the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in each room of building 280 on a quarterly basis. If a smoke and/or carbon monoxide detector is not operational, the contractor shall notify the COR immediately in order to generate a work order. Maintain a log and provide a copy to the COR.
Quarter Smoke Detectors CO Detectors Total Detectors 1st (Oct – Dec) 196 196 392 2nd (Jan – Mar) 196 196 392 3rd ( Apr – Jun) 196 196 392 4th (Jun – Sep) 196 196 392
Bldg. 280 has 196 dormitory rooms that contain one smoke detector and one carbon monoxide (CO) detector in each room. These detectors need to be checked once per quarter which equals four checks per fiscal year (1 October – 30 September). Therefore please insert the unit price to check the Smoke/CO detectors for one quarter. The spreadsheet will calculate this price times four (quarters) to come up with an annual price. Please insert a unit price for the base period and each option year.
