QUESTIONS & GOVERNMENT PROVIDED ANSWERS – FA3020-21-Q-0006,

Multiple Award IT Hardware De-centralized BPA - AR/VR/MR hardware for integrated training devices

Q1: It seems you have specifications laid out for the Apple Computer. The model laid out maybe a generation old, we will quote a newer generation model if this is fine.

A1: Yes, you may quote the newer generation model. Attachment 1 has been updated to reflect 12 core processor, 96 GB RAM, and Radeon Pro Vega with 32GB.

Q2: Under Computer Desktop it shows only the motherboard listed. Are the rest of the specs below under the laptop category?

A2: Yes, the desktop options were listed in the laptop description spot. Attachment 1 has been updated to move the specifications under computer desktop and update to RTX 3080ti.

Q3: Under the laptop, it doesn’t seem there is any specs listed. The specs listed seem to belong to the desktop.

A3: Attachment 1 has been updated to reflect laptop specifications.

Q4: Does the solicitation call for Brand justification or is it okay to quote equal?

A4: No the solicitation does not require brand name. Equal products are permitted.

Q5: Do all items need to be quoted or can we quote partial and still be able to participate?

A5: No, quote only items that can be provided. The government will award to the offerors that represent that best value to the government.

Q6: Will the Agency accept a newer version of an item if the original requested is EOL?

A6: Yes

Q7: Will the Agency accept comparable alternatives if they meet the same specifications?

A7: Yes

Q8: Does the Agency have specification sheets for the products they are requesting?

A8: No

Q9: The Microsoft Surface specs are very middle of the road and those particular core i5 versions have been sold out/ unavailable for quite some time. It might make more sense to price the Core i7 / more expensive versions and core i5 would still be an option?

A9: Attachment 1 has been updated to reflect Core i7.

Q10: The Varjo equipment needs to be updated. Everyone wants the VR-3 and XR-3 now. No one will request what is currently in the list.

A10: Attachment 1 has been updated to remove Varjo XR-1, VR-1, VR-2, and VR-2 Pro. Varjo VR-3 and XR-3 has been added to Attachment 1.

Q11: There's now an XTAL 5k and a XTAL 8k... we should probably list those as 2 separate items.

A11: Attachment 1 has been updated to breakout XTAL to 5k and 8k.

Q12: Would the Government allow vendors to add to the Hardware Pricing List any extended/virtual/mixed/augmented reality (XR/VR/MR/AR) hardware items currently in use by USAF/AETC customers but that are not currently listed?

A12: The intent is for all items to be offered competitively, so the government will consider items submitted for evaluation, but will give other offerors an opportunity to add those items to their price lists if selected for award. Items may be submitted for evaluation when the government sends a formal request periodically for onboarding after contract award.

Q13: Given global supply chain disruptions and inflation, would the Government consider shortening the 90-day price validity requirement?

A13: No – price list updates will not occur more frequent than quarterly.

Q14: How does the Government intend to evaluate vendor past performance and technical capability to meet the requirement if vendors are submitting only the Hardware Pricing List?

A14: Data independently obtained by the government and/or commercial sources.

Q15: 1. Should the specification cells for Rows 15/16/17 (detailed below) be consolidated as a single specification for the Computer (Desktop)?

A15: Yes, see A2.

A16: Yes, see A3.

Q17: The specification for Computer (Desktop) does not include a keyboard\mouse, should we price it separately on Row 17?

A17: Yes, Attachment 1 has been updated to reflect keyboard required or equivalent.
