About this file

This document is a Site Visit Questions and Answers document for a federal contract (FA301625Q0205) to replace a condenser coil at JBSA - Fort Sam Houston, dated 25 August 2025. The document addresses six key questions about the project, including refrigerant type (407C), responsibility for system restoration, and specific equipment details. The specific HVAC unit to be serviced is identified by model number MCL110E8YDF481 and serial number Y16CAZ0093. Key contractor responsibilities include providing refrigerant, bringing the system back online, and notifying the Project Manager and Contracting Officer of any additional mechanical problems discovered during the repair process. The government will provide recovery tanks for the refrigerant, and the contractor is explicitly directed to replace the condenser coil, not the evaporator coil.
