About this file

This document is a Single Source Justification (Simplified Acquisition) for the procurement of civilian police badges. The Air Force Security Forces Center (AFSFC) requires the continued procurement of civilian police badges from Smith & Warren or authorized resellers, as it has determined that this is the only brand that currently meets their requirements. AFSFC and the 502nd CONS/JBKCB will continue market research to identify potential alternative manufacturers and evaluate their capabilities, to ensure they obtain the best value at a fair market price while meeting the government's minimum needs.

The related federal contract opportunity is for the establishment of a single Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for AFSFC to purchase Shield Badges for civilian police officers and customized leather wallets to hold Security Forces badges and DAF Shield Badges. This is a total small business set-aside solicitation.
