QUESTIONS & ANSWERS: Cut-off date for contractor questions is 10:00 AM CST, 28 Jun 23.
Question 1: The required specs indicate the first spec for bike one must meet certain specifications and the second bike must meet certain specifications. Does this mean the desire is to have all 32 bikes of the same style or 16 of each style?
Is the Rogue V3.0 acceptable? The V2.0 is the older version of the stationary bike.
Government Response: The desire is to have 16x bikes (Concept 2 BikeErg) and 16x bikes (Rogue Echo Bike V3.0).
Yes, the Rogue V3.0 is acceptable. Please see revised/Addendum 01 to Attachment 1 – Salient Characteristics, dated 27 June 2023, 2 pages & Attachment 2 – Pictures Dated 27 June 2023, 2 pages.
Question 2: Is it possible to submit a quote for only 16 bikes of one particular style?
The government states in the Solicitation in section 6. Brand Name or Equal, that the bikes must meet IAW with Attachment 1 – Salient Characteristics. The salient characteristics in the Attachment 1 are specific down to the inch for 1 brand. Only 1 brand can meet those exact measurements and finite details as each brand has their own Intellectual property and measurements may be off by a few inches. That is standard across the fitness industry. Please confirm that equal items meeting the functionality and commercial quality will be considered. Is installation required?
Government Response: No, the quote should meet the salient characteristics of each type of bike and fill of the entirety of the desired submission.
Equal items will be considered, and installation is not required.
Question 3: Can dock to dock deliveries be accepted or is a lift gate truck needed?
Government Response: A lift gate truck is needed.
Question 4: Please confirm if assembly is needed. If yes, would it be possible to have base personnel move the bikes into the room(s) where they will be used prior to the installer arriving?
Government Response: Assembly is not needed.
Question 5: If assembly is needed and if site personnel would not be able to move the bikes, are there any site restrictions? For example, is the fitness room on ground level? Any stairs involved? Any door limitations to the fitness room? From where the bikes would be delivered, approximately how far is it to the fitness room? Please provide as many details as possible.
Government Response: The fitness room is ground level, and no stairs are involved. There is a large garage door that will allow the bikes to moved inside with less restriction. The distance from outside the building to inside is 20 to 30 feet.
