TITLE: Response to Questions to solicitation (0011540582) – Simulated Medical Drug for

Medical Education Training Campus (METC) Pharmacy Program Base San Antonio- Fort Sam

Houston, Texas. All changes due to question and answers listed below will be updated on appropriate documents and posted with questions and answers.

1. Contractor Question:

The salient characteristics (Attachment A) of the solicitation indicates use of sterile water. We intend to use purified water.

Sterile water in simulated medical drugs could create the potential for mis-use and mis-identification of the simulator as real-drug product.

It is important drug simulators are developed in a manner to achieve course objectives but still easily distinguished from the real drug supply chain and intended use of instruction only-no human use.

Government Response:

Water must be (inert, non-sterile) all contaminants need to be removed and a preservative must be added to promote shelf life.

2. Contractor Question:

I have a question regarding the strength for the Fentanyl. The dosage you are requesting is 50 mg/ml which is a very strong dose. Could it be possible you are wanting 50mcg/ml? I just want to make sure we have the information correct.

Should be 50mcg/ml

3. Contractor Question:
