STATEMENT OF WORK

147S AT JBSA-LACKLAND

REPLACE HEATING TUBES

on HURST BOILER

LACKLAND AFB, SAN ANTONIO, TX

PROJECT INFORMATION: Applicable provisions of the contract clauses will govern work under each section of the specifications.

PROJECT SCOPE: Replace the existing bad boiler tubes, clean tube sheets, and install new gaskets for a Hurst boiler mod# 545-G-75-30W. Need the contractor to reassemble and hydro test unit when complete. This boiler provides comfort heating hot water to the US Air Force Special Operations Para Rescue School.

• The Contractor shall order the necessary parts to meet recommended original manufacturer specifications of the boiler. The re-tubing shall include but not Limited to:

• New boiler tubes must meet or exceed specification of boiler.

• Repair damages to the rear of the smokebox

• The Contractor shall insure that all personnel employed in the performance of this contract are qualified and possess the necessary licenses required In their respective trades.

• Contractor shall provide PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for all workers.

• Contractor shall dispose of Debris produced from the work on a daily basis outside of base in compliance with applicable local codes for the industrial waste Disposal.

• Contractor shall provide all necessary materials and equipment required to complete scope of work.

• Request a sight visit to see the boiler.

CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: The contractor shall be bonded, licensed (class A), and properly insured and shall provide proof to the Government upon request.

INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE: A representative from 502 CES will conduct inspections of work progress. A final inspection of completed work will be conducted by the project manager, contractor and designated 502 CES personnel. All discrepancies identified during inspections shall be corrected prior to final payment.

CONTRACTOR’S WARRANTY: The contractor shall guarantee all materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of project completion and shall within that period correct all defects in materials/workmanship within Ninety Six hours of being notified. Correction of all defects under this warranty shall be at the expense of the contractor.

HOURS OF WORK: Normal duty hours are from 7:00 Am to 5:00 PM, Monday thru Sat, except on government holidays. Contractor should coordinate work with 502d CES Project Government Representative:
