About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of one industrial hydraulic press brake system for Keesler Air Force Base.

The contractor must deliver equipment configured as "Brand Name or Equal" to the AMADA HRB 8025, meeting or exceeding specified physical and performance baselines. Key physical specifications include minimum 88-ton press capacity, 102-inch bending/bed length, 24-inch sliding front support, 86-inch clearance between housings, 8-inch stroke length, 14-inch open height, and 10-inch throat depth. The drive system must be hydraulic with minimum approach/return speed of 115 mm/sec and bending speed of 15 mm/sec with precision adjustment capability. Control and automation features must include an automatic CNC crowning or natural deflection compensation system, laser-based safety system to halt the machine upon interruption detection, high-speed programmable backgauge with minimum 5-axis control (X, Delta-X, R, Z1, Z2), and a 3D-graphical CNC touchscreen controller with simplified operating modes. The tooling setup must include a quick-change, tool-less clamping system rated for 80-100 tons/m, compatibility with both EURO and American style tooling, and one complete set of tool holders.

Delivery is FOB Destination to Building 3916, Keesler AFB, Mississippi 39534, with the contractor providing full turn-key installation including off-loading, rigging, leveling, and electrical/hydraulic commissioning. Installation logistics account for a 4-foot-high by 8-foot-wide receiving dock and 8-foot by 10-foot rollup door, with the machine positioned approximately 100 feet inside the building. The contractor must provide voltage transformation if required, as existing facility power is 240V, 3-phase. Training requirements include minimum two days of on-site operational and safety instruction for up to four technicians during 81 TRSS duty hours (Monday-Thursday, 6:15 a.m.–4:15 p.m., excluding lunch and federal holidays). A minimum 1-year comprehensive OEM warranty covering all parts, labor, and travel is required.

Requirement: Industrial Hydraulic Press Brake

The contractor shall provide all equipment, freight, installation, and initial operational training for one (1) Hydraulic Press Brake. The system must be configured as a “Brand Name or Equal” to the AMADA HRB 8025. Any equivalent press brake must meet or exceed the following structural and capacity baselines to be equal:

Salient Characteristics

A. Physical & Performance Specifications:

• Press Capacity: Minimum 88 Tons (800 kN).

• Bending/Bed Length: Minimum 102 inches.

• Material Support: Minimum 24 inch sliding front support.

• Clearance Between Housings: Minimum 86 inches.

• Stroke Length: Minimum 8 inches.

• Open Height: Minimum 14 inches with tool holders installed for tooling setup clearance.

• Throat Depth: Minimum 10 inches clearance for deep part flanges.

• Drive System: Must be a Hydraulic system.

• Approach/Return Speed: Minimum 115 mm/sec.

• Bending Speed: Minimum 15 mm/sec, precision adjustable.

B. Control & Automation Features:

• Crowning System: Must have an automatic CNC crowning or natural deflection compensation system across the entire length without manual shimming.

• Safety System: Must be equipped with laser-based safety system to immediately halt machine if interruption is detected.

• CNC Backgauge: Must be a high-speed, programmable backgauge with a minimum of 5 axes of control (X, Delta-X, R, Z1, Z2) to execute multi-step bending sequences without manual adjustment.

• Controller: Must feature a 3D-graphical CNC touchscreen controller with a simplified operating mode to enable safe operation and simulation by varying skill level personnel.

• Tooling Setup: Must have a quick-change, tool-less clamping system, rated to withstand minimum 80 tons/m and maximum 100 tons/m. Machine must be capable of accepting both EURO style and American style tooling. Must include one (1) complete set of tool holders.

C. Delivery, Installation, & Training:

• Delivery: Contractor shall deliver the equipment FOB Destination to Bldg 3916, 303 Larcher Blvd, Keesler AFB, MS 39534.

• Installation: Contractor shall provide full turn-key installation, including off-loading, rigging, leveling, and full electrical/hydraulic commissioning.

• Forklift will be necessary to offload from delivery truck and place on dock.

• Receiving dock is 4’ ft off ground and 8’ wide.

• Rollup door 8’ wide x 10’ tall.

• Machine will be roughly 100’ inside of building from door opening.

• Existing facility power is 240V, 3-phase. Vendor must provide step-up/step-down transformer if delivered machine requires different voltage (e.g., 480V).

• Training: Contractor shall provide a minimum of two (2) days of on-site operational and safety training for up to four (4) technicians upon successful installation. Training must be accomplished during normal 81 TRSS duty hours: Monday-Thursday, 6:15 a.m. – 4:15 p.m., excluding 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. lunch hour and federal holidays.

D. Warranty:

• A minimum 1-year comprehensive OEM warranty covering all parts, labor, and travel is required.
