About this file
This document is a Salient Characteristics specification for a Compressor/Air Dryer/Receiver Tank System installation at Building 4301, dated August 3, 2026. The government requires installation of an integrated compressed air system consisting of a rotary screw air compressor (minimum 50 HP, capable of delivering 225 CFM at 125 PSIG), an industrial refrigerated air dryer (minimum 225 SCFM), and an air receiver tank (minimum 200 gallons with 200 PSIG MAWP). All equipment must operate on 460V AC, 3-Phase, 60 Hz power and fit within an 11' x 12' rectangular footprint in Room 109, Bay West Wall. The system shall include approximately 40 feet of 1.5-inch pipe for inter-component connections and facility airline integration, plus 25 feet of 0.5-inch pipe for contaminant drainage, with the compressor requiring a full sound enclosure if rated 70 dBA or above.
The installation scope includes removal of existing equipment, provision of a 5-year major component warranty with machine manuals, power-on and function training, and integrated pre- and post-filtration with auto-drains on the dryer. The air receiver tank must include an automatic or zero-loss condensate drain and an ASME-rated pressure relief valve with pressure gauge. The government will handle equipment offloading upon delivery and disposal of existing components not designated for reuse. A facility hard-line plumbing connection point for the 1.5-inch line exists at approximately 13 feet high on the west wall.
