Questions and Answers
1. Size of the Latrines: Could you please provide the approximate size of the latrines that require servicing? This will help us better prepare for equipment and service needs.
Answer: 27” l X 16” w X 20.5” h
2. Cleaning Frequency: How often do the latrines need to be cleaned—once a week, twice a week, or does this vary depending on operational needs? If this information is not yet available, please let us know.
Answer: Frequency may very dependent on operational requirements. Typically, once a week for each Squadron and are scheduled together. For Weather Squadron, mainly during hurricane season, multiple weekly requirements may be required.
3. Security Requirements: What are the specific security requirements for contract employees performing these services? Specifically, could you provide details on the type of security badges required and the process for obtaining them? Additionally, what will be required from the contractor or subcontractor to meet these security standards?
Answer: Contractor only requires base access which requires a year pass for the individual preforming the service. Contractor will be escorted to and from aircraft by authorized personnel while operating on the airfield.
4. What is the size of the aircraft?
Answer: There are 2 types of C-130J (Short and Long) that require service. Shorts are 97 ft 9 in long and Longs are 112 ft 9 in long. There are no different requirements between the two.
5. Are they all the same size? or size varies?
Answer: latrines are the same in both aircraft types.
6. Do all the aircraft have the same number of latrines?
Answer: Yes 1 each.
7. Who is the incumbent contractor if there is one? What is the contract amount and award amount? If there is a contract in place how many trips were required for the year on the prior contract?
Answer: Incumbent contractor- Wise Environment Solution Inc. Award amount $134,750.00 215 and 170 were required per year on previous contract.
8. How many gallons of waste does the WC-130-J lavatory tank hold?
Answer: 3.1 to 5 U/S/ Gallons
9. How many gallons of waste does the C-130-J lavatory tank hold?
Answer: Same as WC-130J
10. What size cam locks/connections are the waste hookups for the planes?
Answer: connection sizes are 4” for waste and 1” for water/cleaner solution hookup
11. There are 215 services for the WC-130-J and 170 services for the C-130-J for the first option year. How many trips/services are estimated monthly/weekly.
Answer: WC-130-J average is 15 per month, C-130-J average 15 per month.
12. How many aircraft will we be able to service at once?
Answer: Typically, 4-6 aircraft total required servicing at a time. During peak hurricane season there may be more requiring service.
13. We do pumpings at other air force bases and have to have our trucks measured before entering the facilities. Do you all need measurements prior to servicing for different truck models?
Answer: I am not aware of any requirements that SF has for a trucks coming in and out of base. Current contractor has a cart on a trailer and is not required measurements.
14. How many gallons of solution are required for the recharge of lavatories?
Answer: 10 U.S. gallons of clean water to flush and clean and 3.1 U.S. gallons of cleaning solution to charge toilet.
