Addendum 1 Questions and Answers

MAHG20-1024

Replace Washer Lint Traps and Stacks Phase 1

Q1. No architechtural details exist regarding countertops and their approximate dimensions/locations.

Can you please provide?

A1. See {1} below as well as included drawings. [Pg. A507 Enlarged Laundry Room Plan/Interior Elevations, Pg. A702 Millwork Details (Detail 1).] Note: These documents and drawings are given as approximate dimensions/locations for bid purposes only. Actual dimensions and locations may vary per laundry room (Depth measurements of the counter tops for these facilities average 12.5”). Contractor shall field verify dimensions prior to purchasing materials and/or fabrication of countertops.

Q2. Will a lay down area be provided for appliance storage containers?

A2. Yes. Location of laydown area to be coordinated with Vectrus and Government Personnel prior to work start.

Q3. Are there any other utilities located in the concrete slabs to be cut/removed?

A3. Per AS-BUILT drawings, we do not expect to encounter any other utilities under concrete slab within the area of work denoted/depicted on the contract documents. As with any project requiring outdoor excavation and dig permits, contractor shall request a locate prior to beginning any excavation activity.

Correction to Attachment 3 - MAHG201024 Drawings:

NOTE: There is a discrepancy between the Statement of Work and page M2 of the Drawings.

The statement of work is the correct course of action.

Statement of Work, Pg. 3, Section Provide and Install New (B) states:

All horizontal and vertical drain piping, clean-outs, and connections for each branch for a complete replacement of existing system. Six-inch schedule 40 PVC piping to replace existing vertical and underground drain piping. Four-inch schedule 40 PVC to replace existing horizontal branch lines. This is correct

Statement of Work, Pg. 4, Section Provide and Install New (L):

References Drawings and states:

two 6” cleanouts are to be installed per facility exterior, one on inlet and one on outlet of lint interceptor near the building. This is correct

Drawings:

A portion of Sheet M2 Drawing #3 New Interceptor Layout is incorrect and should appear as shown below {2}.

In the interest of new work drain line sizes and installation of clean-outs, the Statement of work takes precedence over the Drawing Set.
