REQUEST FOR INDUSTRY QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS ON
THE FIRST DRAFTS OF PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT
Sections 3, 9, and 20 Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base (BASE OPERATING SUPPORT)
SOLICITATION FA3002-06-R-0004
The Air Education and Training Command (AETC) Contracting Squadron is posting the first drafts of several sections of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) for Solicitation Number FA3002-06-R-0004, Maxwell-Gunter Base Operating Support (BOS) Services. Attached are the first draft versions of Section 3 (Foreign Object Damage), Section 9 (Publications Management), Section 20 (Transient Maintenance), Section 21 (Airfield Maintenance), and Section 32 (Weather). The government is requesting industry questions and comments on these draft sections of the PWS, which will help in the development of an effective, performance-based approach to acquiring these services. A question form is attached, which should be used to send your questions/comments by email to Pat Barber, patricia.barber@randolph.af.mil and to Kimberly Williams, kimberly.williams2@randolph.af.mil The questions/comments will be considered when formulating the final draft PWS, so industry input is highly encouraged. Other sections of the PWS will be posted for questions/comments as soon as they become available. There will not be a formal posting of answers/responses to these questions and comments, but any changes they drive will appear in the final draft PWS that the government estimates will be posted in early May 2006. If the government feels there is a need to briefly discuss certain questions that are submitted, they may contact contractors concerning those questions. The government requests that you submit your questions and comments on the attached form by 28 April 2006.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DRAFT SECTIONS OF THE STATEMENT OF WORK PROVIDED HERE SHOULD NOT BE USED OR RELIED UPON IN ANY WAY TO DEVELOP A PROPOSAL FOR SOLICITATION FA3002-06-R-0004. The exact requirements are subject to some changes prior to the issuance of the formal Request for Proposal (RFP). Proposals should be based upon the PWS contained in the formal RFP, which the government estimates will be issued in July 2006.
