About this file
Salient Characteristics Sheet: Hot Water Pressure Washing System
This is a Salient Characteristics Sheet for the procurement of two complete stationary, heavy-duty, commercial-grade hot water pressure washing systems, model Powerjet PJP 4002-3/A or equivalent. Each unit measures approximately 48" L x 26" W x 44" H with a shipping weight of 790 lbs and includes a mounted spring-rewind hose reel, 50-foot high-pressure hose, and variable pressure wand. The procurement includes full on-site installation and utility tie-in for water, natural gas, and high-voltage electrical as quoted by the vendor.
The systems must operate on the facility's existing 230-volt, 3-phase electrical supply with a 5-horsepower motor and feature a natural gas-fired burner capable of generating 390,000 BTUs. The pump must deliver a minimum operating output of 4.0 Gallons Per Minute (GPM) at 2,000 PSI and include an integrated downstream chemical injector, energy-saving time-delay auto start/stop function, and pressure relief valve. The entire unit must be ETL Certified to UL-1776 Safety Standards. The Government intends to use this equipment for routine preventative maintenance of the base vehicle fleet by removing heavy dirt, baked-on mud, industrial grease, and corrosive winter road treatments. The high-pressure, high-temperature water combined with chemical cleaning agents prevents structural corrosion on government vehicles and enables mechanics to safely inspect chassis components for fluid leaks or damage.

Salient Characteristics Sheet
Describe the requested item(s) in salient terms:
Physical characteristics =
Quantity: Two (2) complete system.
Description: A stationary, heavy-duty, commercial-grade hot water pressure washing system, model Powerjet PJP 4002-3/A or equivalent. The physical unit has approximate dimensions of L 48" x W 26" x H 44" with a shipping weight of 790 lbs. The system includes a mounted spring-rewind hose reel, a 50-foot high-pressure hose, and a variable pressure wand.
Essential Characteristics = The requested system must operate on the facility's existing 230-volt / 3-phase electrical supply utilizing a 5-horsepower motor. It must feature a natural gas-fired burner capable of generating 390,000 BTUs to achieve high-temperature output. The pump must be capable of delivering a minimum operating output of 4.0 Gallons Per Minute (GPM) at 2,000 PSI. Furthermore, the system must include an integrated downstream chemical injector, an energy-saving time-delay auto start/stop function, and a pressure relief valve. For personnel safety, the entire unit must be ETL Certified to UL-1776 Safety Standards. Finally, the procurement must include full on-site installation and utility tie-in (water, natural gas, and high-voltage electrical) as quoted by the vendor
Functions to be performed = The Government intends to use this equipment to routinely perform preventative maintenance by cleaning heavy dirt, baked-on mud, industrial grease, and corrosive winter road treatments off the base vehicle fleet. The system functions by combining high-pressure streams and high-temperature water with chemical cleaning agents to rapidly break down tough industrial contaminants that standard cold-water hoses cannot remove. This functionality directly prevents severe structural corrosion on government vehicles and allows mechanics to accurately and safely inspect chassis components for fluid leaks or damage.
