About this file
This document is a Q&A file for the PAG High Lift Catering (HLCA) Van solicitation, contract number FA286025Q4014, dated 5 Sep 2025. The solicitation seeks 4 high lift catering trucks with specific technical requirements, including a delivery timeline of the 3rd quarter of 2026. Key technical specifications include power tail gate lifts (preferably unleaded gas powered), a 360° camera system with either a 7" or 10" monitor, an approach control system with auto-stop and audio capabilities, and a 12VDC emergency pump system to raise/lower the truck's rear box in case of engine shutdown.
The document provides critical dimensional requirements for the catering trucks, specifically noting they must accommodate Boeing 747-800 aircraft door heights, with a maximum bottom of door to ground height of approximately 230 inches (unofficial measurements range from 201-209 inches). The solicitation emphasizes the importance of truck length to support multiple cart operations and large part movements. The government has declined vendor calls for preliminary discussions, indicating this is a fair and open competitive opportunity. Additionally, previously mentioned dual camera recording systems are no longer required for the solicitation.
