Salient Characteristics Sheet
Describe the requested item(s) in salient terms:
Physical characteristics: Quantity: 1; High-Density Mobile Storage System
Essential Characteristics: The storage system must have an overall length of 206” by 127” width fully built; with a maximum height less than 128” to accommodate required clearance for ceiling mounted sprinkler heads. It must include rolling wheel handles or electronic equivalent to move the shelves on demand. It must consist of moveable carriages of shelving units on support rails that can be compressed to eliminate the aisles between carriages and maximize the storage capacity of the available space. The unit must consist of four shelves with the dimensions listed below. It is essential that the storage system can hold the items listed in the functions performed section of this document. Measurements and requirements are included to reflect shelving measurement requirements.
Storage Shelf Dimensions:
1. Length 114" Width 24.5”
2. Length 114" Width 48.5"
3. Length 114" Width 48.5”
4. Length 114" Width 30.25"
Functions to be Performed: Storage of uniforms and Aircrew Flight Equipment assets. The Mechanical
Assist Mobile Storage System needs to hold the following box quantities and sizes. See pictures of suitable storage systems attached.
Must be capable of storing the following:
1. Helmet Totes (plastic)-- 18" D x 13" W x 10-3/4" H -- 100 Totes
2. Helmet Boxes -- 12" D x 12" W x 11.5" H -- 240 boxes
3. Life Rafts -- 30" L x 18 W'' x 8.5'' H -- 10ea
4. Large Chemical Equipment -- 21.5” D X 15.5” x 13.5” H -- 60 Totes
