Answers to RFIs/Site Visit Questions
1. After reviewing the Contractor Estimate Summary Sheet I had read that there was removal of 100 CF of ACM, However I did not see an environmental report that indicated where the ACM was located and what type was included?
Answer: The specifications require you to test for HAZMA. If HAZMAT is discovered it must be removed/remediated in accordance with the schedule B Unit Cost Pricing Schedule.
2. Also the same thing applies to the hauling of LBP, ACM or any contaminated soil. Is there a soil report that would verify this and what is to be hauled?
Answer: See above answer to #1.
3. I also need the contact information for Terrapin Utility Services for pricing of the removal and capping of the utility lines ? There is also a quantity for this as well but the specs read that Terrapin will do the disconnects ?
Answer: Mr. Greg Booker 301-735-4101.
4. Are we bidding this as if there is no hazardous materials ? then do environmental testing and quantify where and type of hazardous materials are present?
Answer: You will include the costs required by the pricing schedule for unknown quantities.
5. Please provide clarification on approx. 4,000 CY of suitable structural fill material i.e. clean dirt, concrete, brick, etc. to be backfilled in basement.
Answer: The contractor must make the calculation as to how much compacted fill is required. The compacted fill must consist of structural fill soil only---------no rubble, brick or concrete..
