AIRCRAFT FIRE RESCUE TRAINING FACILITY (AFRTF)
RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS
1) Regarding the Aircraft Fire Rescue Training Facility (AFRTF) in MD. Per Fedbizopps website, two documents were released on 04/07/15. Status states Modification/Amendment/Cancel; what is the current status of this project?
The solicitation No. FA2860-15-R-0021, is the only AFRTF request for proposal for JBA that is active. The only change made on 7 April was uploading of the following two guidance documents:
• National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1403: Standard on Live Fire Training Evolutions
• National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 58: Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code
These documents describe additional parameters in maintaining the AFRTF.
2) Can subcontractors be used to fulfill this requirement? YES a company may use a sub/prime relationship. However the Prime company must complete at least 51% of the work within that company. You may not “sub out” more than 49% of the services required in this solicitation.
