24 July, 2015 Questions and Answers from Site Visit for Integrated Solid Waste Services on Hanscom Air Force Base

Solicitation: FA2835-15-R-0036

1. Incumbent contract is for three (3) years, why?

The current contract was let for base year plus two (2) options years at the discretion of the Civil Engineering Office as well as the Contracting office at the time of solicitation. At the time, the strategy was for base plus 2 years.

2. How do trucks get on base?

Trucks will be allowed on base with an up to date, valid registration, insurance and driver’s license. Individual personnel will be given base passes once the contract is awarded.

3. Who is the incumbent?

Incumbent contractor on this contract is Onopa Services LLC

4. Is the current contract sub-contracted?

No

5. Is the current contract an 8a award?

No

6. Are roll-offs color coded?

No, specific coloring is for the smaller dumpsters found around base. These are addressed in the PWS and attachments.

7. Permissible to park vehicles at the transfer station?

Yes

8. Hazardous waste on this contract?

No

9. How many people run the transfer station?

Currently, two (2) people run the transfer station.

10. Is the transfer station mainly for base housing trash?

No. Base housing has its own trash pick-up.

11. Are all the dumpsters paired?

The Government tries to pair them whenever we can.

12. Can a drop box link be used if there are problems with the size of the proposals?

No. If you are concerned about the size of your proposal, please break it up into more than one email. The Government will respond by email with confirmation for any and all proposals received.

**Any additional questions must be submitted by 3pm EST on July 27th 2015. Responses to any additional questions will be posted on July 29th to allow for proposal preparation.
