About this file

The document appears to be a detailed technical specification for a Fire/EMS Protective Armor System, describing specific requirements for protective gear. The system consists of an Armor Carrier System with soft and hard armor components, including a tan carrier with high-visibility yellow striping, NIJ 0101.06 Level IIIA soft armor with 360° ballistic coverage, and top-loading pockets for Level IV rifle-rated plates. Additional components include a ballistic helmet (NIJ 0106.01 Level IIIA certified), a fire carry bag with reinforced construction, and an Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) Pouch containing specific medical supplies.

The specification mandates comprehensive documentation and deliverables, including Certificates of Conformance, NIJ Certified Products List (CPL) verification, ballistic test reports, a serialized lot register, and care and maintenance instructions. The system is designed to meet multiple compliance standards including NFPA 1971/1977, OSHA 1910.132 and 1910.1030, and is Berry Amendment and Buy American Act compliant. All medical items must have a minimum 24-month shelf life, and the entire system comes with a minimum one-year manufacturer warranty, emphasizing durability and safety for Fire/EMS operational environments.
