FA282321A0024 – PAO Chiller – Questions and Answers
In the technical requirements document a fluid distribution flow control panel is detailed, yet the solicitation seems to reference only the PAO chiller. To me it is unclear as to whether our quote shall include a distribution panel for each chiller or just only the two chillers.
The distribution panel is part of the requirement for each chiller.
Will this be two independent systems? One chiller system to provide cooling and a manifold system to provide the flow rates required down each flow path? Or would you like the manifold system to be internal to the chiller itself?
A Chiller and manifold in one unit.
Does the flow rate down each path need to include a flow meter?
Yes
Do the flow rates need to be controlled digitally?
Not necessarily.
The flow rates could be balanced with valves.
Less ability for leaking is the optimum choice.
The flow rating of the chiller is “7 GPM at 140 PSI” adjustable. Are you wanting to control the flow rate or the pressure or just limit the maximum pressure?
Flow Rate
What is the maximum heat load at the 10°C leaving PAO temperature?
Cooling capacity @ 10oC 8,000 watts
What PAO oil are you using specifically?
Royco 602 MIL PRF-87252
