Contractor Questions & Government Answers

FBO Synopsis/Solicitation FA2823-14-Q-3005, F1TTAS4160AQ01

APPLICATIONS OF FERTILIZERS AND PESTICIDES SERVICES FOR EGLIN AFB SPORTS FIELDS

1. Question: Is this a follow-on requirement? If so, could you please provide the incumbent contract number for this opportunity? If not, is this a new requirement?

Answer: Yes, this is a follow-on requirement. The contract number is FA2823-10-M-S001.

2. Question: Is a large business able to provide a quote for this requirement? What about a large business with small business divisions, can they bid on this requirement?

Answer: Only small businesses can provide quotes. Small businesses must certify that they are a small business based on the size standard of the NAICS assigned to this acquisition. Recommend contacting the Small Business Administration (SBA) if there are any questions in regards to determining if your company qualifies as a small business for this acquisition. All offerors are required to certify that they are/are not a small business based on the applicable size standard listed in the solicitation. Offerors must update their representations and certifications in SAM.gov prior to the proposal receipt date in order to be considered for award. Small business divisions would need to be registered as a small business separately (with own CAGE and DUNS) from the large business. For assistance with SAM.gov contact 1-866-606-8220.

3. What is the value of the last contract?

Answer: $69,000 including the base year and all options.

4. Who is the current company that is providing the service?

Answer: Advanced Lawn Care

5. Is there a date for a site visit? If not, can we schedule a time to meet with you?

Answer: A site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, August 12 at 10:00am CST.

Directions: Contractors should enter through the East Gate of Eglin AFB turn left at first stop light and the Field House will be on their right in front of Foster Stadium (located across from east gate shoppette by the track). Report to the Field House building for the site visit, bldg. 741.

BASE PASSES FOR SITE VISIT: Contractor shall complete the memorandum and the CAB affidavit attached to this solicitation. Security Forces will perform a background check on all contractors visiting. When sending emails to the Contract Specialist please check your email options for ‘obtaining a delivery receipt to allow verification of the email being delivered. The access for both forms should only be for Eglin AFB, Building 741 for 12 August 2014 from 0800-1700 hours CST or (8am-5pm) CST. * Ensure the memorandum and the CAB affidavit are emailed/received by the Contract Specialist (at a minimum of) four (4) work days (M-F) before the day of the site visit so that Security Forces will have enough time to process the required forms and perform the required background check(s).
