Scope For Acquiring an Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) Detachment 3, 21st Space Operations Squadron Kaena Point Satellite Tracking Station (KPSTS), Waianae, Hawaii 6 Aug 2018
1. Scope:
Water generators:
Water-Gen’s Large Scale AWG or equivalent: purchase and deliver one Water-Gen’s Large Scale AWG or equivalent and two maintenance spare filters -- that produce over 5000 liters/1,319.26 gallons of clean fresh water every day to Det 3, 21 SOPS/CE, Kaena Point Satellite Tracking Station (KPSTS). The AWG shall be able to utilize a variety of power sources, including (but not limited to) solar, wind, and traditional power grid. The purchaser shall verify AWG specifications, and determine if there are additional requirements or materials prior to the purchasing of the new AWG and scheduling delivery and coordinate with Det 3, 21 SOPS/CE for the delivery location and provide AWG specification, manual, warranties, and other documentation to the Det 3, 21 SOPS/CE.
SCOPE
The Water Generator shall be able to meet the following requirements:
1. Portability of Water - Water produced by the AWG must complies to the World Health Organization (WHO) drinking water quality standards and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
2. Water generation capacity: up to 5,000L/day (at world standard conditions) and integrated with a built-in water reservoir tank that holds 2000 gallons
3. Water purification: 3 layers, physical, biological and chemical
4. Power: 3 phase 380V/60Hz or 220V/60Hz
5. Simplicity of Use - AWG must be operable by persons of limited technical experience (plug and play)
6. The AWG shall be able to utilize a variety of power sources, including (but not limited to) solar, wind, and traditional power grid (3 phase 380V/60Hz or 220V/60Hz)
7. Safety – AWG must not pose a hazard to users at any point during its normal operation
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
1. Flexibility in Power Source - The system should be able to utilize a variety of power sources, including (but not limited to) solar, wind, and the traditional power grid
2. Liters of Water Production per Day - The system should produce at least 5000 liters of drinkable water per day and integrated with a built-in water reservoir tank that holds 2000 gallons
3. Maximize Efficiency - The system should maximize the water produced per unit energy
4. Minimize Maintenance - The system should be for long-term operation, requiring only low-cost and minimally intensive repairs
5. Water purification: 3 layers, physical, biological and chemical
6. Power: 3 phase 380V/60Hz or 220V/60Hz
7. Minimize Cost - The system should minimize the cost per unit water production
8. Safety – AWG must not pose a hazard to users at any point during its normal operation
