About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) and Sources Sought notice issued by Cape Canaveral Space Force Station for a small business set-aside program.

The requirement is for procurement, installation, and commissioning of a new integrated headworks combined rag and grit removal system for the Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility (RWWTF) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. The system will replace existing "JWC Muffin Monster" rag removal and "Pista-Grit" grit removal equipment with a single, comprehensive unit that screens to 2mm without blinding and removes particulate matter, rags, and grit. The equipment must fit within an available space of 6'4" W x 23' L and operate on two separate 15-amp, 3-phase, 20-gauge power feeds. All required valves, piping, and appurtenances for integration into the existing system must be included. The NAICS Code 333310 applies, with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. Current market research indicates the Or-Tec "Constant Current Grit System" (CGS200) meets the salient characteristics, though the government is seeking information on alternative vendors.

Interested parties must submit capabilities packages by 1:00 PM Eastern on April 15, 2026, to ray.scott.4@spaceforce.mil, referencing RFI # FA252126QA001. Responses should not exceed 5 pages and must include company business size, business status (8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB, EDWOSB, or small business), teaming arrangements if applicable, examples of commercial sales, product specifications, and identification of whether the respondent is a manufacturer or supplier. Respondents must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for contract award. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government, and no solicitation currently exists.
