PRE-SOLICITATION/SYNOPSIS

Type: Pre-Solicitation/Synopsis Solicitation Number: FA252125B0002 Title/Project Number: SXHT 21-1005 Place of performance: Patrick Space Force Base, Florida 32925 NAICS Code: 238220 Size Standard: $19M Classification Code: J041 Period of Performance: 180 calendar days.

Description of project: Work to be performed under this project consists of providing all labor, equipment and materials to replace the 60-ton TRANE R-22 Chiller with a TRANE R-410A Chiller. The condenser and evaporator of the new chiller shall be of shell and tube design. The cooling tower shall be replaced with a Tower Tech cooling tower. Both hot and chilled water pumps need to be replaced, along with all new electrical panels. Controls are to be upgraded to PSFB EMCS standards. All piping in the Mechanical Rooms, with the exception of the piping to the boiler, is to be replaced. All the AHUs in the facility needs to be replaced as well. Also, there are 12 fan coil units throughout the facility that are deteriorated and need to be replaced. Each of the fan coil units should be individually controlled with the own wall stat. Touch-up paint walls, replace any damaged gypsum board, replace any damaged wainscot and replace any damaged carpeting, as conditions require during equipment replacement.

Design shall include a provision for the Contractor to provide a portable chiller during construction. All work shall comply with State of Florida Building Codes and Wing Facility Excellence guidelines.

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: This is NOT a request for proposal or invitation for bid. 45 CONS at Patrick SFB, FL announces the anticipated release of Solicitation number FA252125B0002 being issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). All applicable provisions and clauses will be included in the actual solicitation document. This electronic announcement constitutes the only pre-solicitation notice being issued. This IFB is being issued under FAR 19.805 Competitive Service-Disabled Veteran- Owned Small Business set-aside in accordance with FAR PART 14- Sealed Bidding. Potential bidders must be currently registered in System for Award Management to be eligible for award. (See internet site: https://sam.gov)

Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under a solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel a solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.”
