Solicitation FA251725Q0073 - 21 CES Traffic Control Barriers Vendor Questions and Government Answers
Overview: Vendor questions are listed in black text and the responses from the government are in red text.
1. Q: Whether a specific brand or model of remote is required.
A: No, any brand or model is acceptable as long as it meets the specifications provided in the SOW.
2. Q: How many remotes are expected to be provided.
A: 20 remotes.
3. Q: Can you confirm that all of the existing concrete associated with the current barrier arms is going to be removed?
A: existing concrete will be demolished flush with grade.
4. Q: Is it ok to use an OPTEX virtual loop in lieu of saw cut loops?
A: This is acceptable.
5. Q: Can we clarify the remote specifications: What do you mean by 64 channels? Does this mean that you want the remote receiver to be able to get a signal from at least 64 remotes? For example, the LiftMaster 850LM has 3 channels, but each channel is capable of having 50 remotes programmed, so this is a 3 channel receiver, but it can be used with 150 remotes.
A: Yes, this is the intent. The requirement will be for the barrier arm control equipment receiver to accept and be controlled by up to 64 remotes.
6. Q: If the existing keypads and goosenecks can work with the new arms, can they be re-used, or do you want new keypads and goosenecks?
A: The intent is to have new keypads and keypad stands.
