Q1. Group Exercise Certified Instructors.pg 3 reference the Group exercise instructors must have and maintain a primary instructor certification by a DoD recognized organization (See Appendix A). Within the AFI is states that Spin, Aqua, Yoga and Pilates instructors are not required to hold a Group Exercise Instructor Certification. Would this apply to this solicitation?

A1. Per AFI 34-266 para 3.2.7., Group exercise instructors must have and maintain a primary instructor certification by a DoD recognized organization. Instructors must obtain the additional necessary specialized training and certifications for specialized classes such as step and kickboxing fitness. Group exercise instructors must maintain current first aid and either the American Heart Association’s Basic Lifesaving automatic external defibrillator or the cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification.

Q2. Within the AFI it does not list National Aerobics & Fitness Trainers Association (NAFTA) yet many AFB do accept NAFTA and several other companies that is not listed on Appendix A. Would Peterson AFB, accept NAFTA and AAAI/ISMA Group Exercise Certifications?

A2. This certification is recognized. Some certifications are not shown on the list because they are combined with other recognized accreditation certifications on the list.

Q3. 1.3. Group Cycling Class-in the past Peterson had a “Spinning Studio” which required the Spin Licensing.

A3. The cycling studio has spin bikes that only spin certified instructors are able to use. The Performance Work Statement, Section 1.1 Group Exercise Certified Instructors, has been corrected to reflect this requirement.

Q4. 1.2.1. Aerobics Class Types. I noticed that within the listing there is no mention to Les Mills Programs-would Peterson AFB entertain bringing the Les Mills Format Body Pump to its programming?

A4. Currently, there is no requirement for the Les Mills Body Pump program.

Q5. Would Peterson AFB be interested in “value added” such as the Virtual classes that is being offered during this pandemic to many AFB currently?

A5. Currently, there is no requirement for virtual classes.

Q6. Who is the incumbent?

A6. FA2517-16-P-6002 was awarded to Elite Sports and Fitness Professionals.
