Questions & Answers
2nd Post Answers to the following questions:
1. Question: We believe that Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health functions (PWS 1.5) and Security functions (PWS 1.4) are significant to the AFSSS mission. However, the Government has not included specific requirements to address these PWS functions in Section L. Is it the Government’s intention to have potential contractor’s address the requirements of PWS 1.4 and 1.5 in Volume II-Technical?
Reference: PWS 1.4 and 1.5.
Answer: Yes
2. Question: Will the Government consider the costs of the required fire prevention, first-aid, and fire fighting procedures training as reimbursable under the CR CLIN defined in PWS Part 1, Chapter 6, 1.6?
Reference: PWS Part 1, Chapter 5, 1.5.3, Page 11.
Answer: No, these costs should be captured under the O&M CLINS.
3. Question: Will the Government consider the costs of the required fire extinguisher inspections IAW NFPA Fire Code 10 as reimbursable under the CR CLIN defined in PWS Part 1, Chapter 6, 1.6
Reference: Part 1, Chapter 5, 1.5.3.1, Page 11 Answer: Yes, this cost is reimbursable under the CR CLIN.
4. Question: Due to the distance from the Elephant Butte, NM site to any local refueling infrastructure, it would not be cost efficient to drive the 80 miles round trip to gas up the company vehicles. Would the Government consider allowing us to fill the on-station petroleum storage tank at our expense, and then carefully meter and document any fuel used in support of grounds maintenance activities. The cost of the grounds maintenance fuel would then be billed against the CR CLIN defined in PWS Part 1, Chapter 6, 1.6.
Reference: Part 1, Chapter 6, 1.6.6, Page 13, Transportation
Answer: Yes, that would be permissiable.
