About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a federal contract opportunity to procure laptop computers and associated peripherals for the United States Air Force Mission Planning Systems (MPS) program. The SOW provides detailed technical and functional specifications for the required laptop, including prohibited components, performance requirements, packaging and labeling requirements, and a tailored four-year warranty. The government intends to purchase as few as 561 but as many as 1,666 laptop computers, which will be used in austere environments. The SOW includes a delivery schedule, quality assurance inspections, and shipping requirements. Two optional upgrades are available for increased memory and solid-state drive capacity. A First Article Inspection is required, and the contractor must provide early production units within 45 days of contract award. The contract opportunity is identified as Solicitation Number FA231824F0XXXFY242B, named "AMC Workstation - Titan Book (RFI)".

1. Introduction
The US Air Force Mission Planning Systems (MPS) is a collaborative Department of Defense (DoD) program that leverages technical solutions and practices for all DoD aerial platforms. MPS enables mission planners to cre-ate a flight plan based on multiple inputs including threats, targets, terrain, weather, aircraft performance capabil-ity, configuration and other factors. The planner/aviator utilizes appropriate computing devices to accomplish the mission.
Mission planning equipment is used to plan and coordinate USAF missions anywhere in the word; therefore, the system must be capable of setup and use in both a connected and disconnect network environment. Consistency with the specifications within this Statement of Work (SOW) is critical to ensure safe, timely and reliable system operation. It is the Government’s intent to centrally store and later distribute these items utilizing the USAF Supply System.
The purpose of this SOW is to provide the contractor with the minimum technical specifications and requirements for the Desktop Replacement Procurement Delivery Order, “Project: FY24-2B”. The Air Force requires the pur-chase of an item consisting of a best-in-class laptop and associated peripherals packaged within a durable card-board box.
