All vendor provided parts and equipment must be covered under warranty by either the manufacture or the vendor for a period 36 months after project completion, and provide customer support (during normal customer hours). Provide 36 months of software release updates and upgrades upon availability. The vendor shall provide documentation for any equipment they provide, along with proposed installation drawings showing cable pathways and physical connections of equipment in Microsoft Visio format in accordance with UFC-3-580-01 Telecommunications Building Cabling systems dated 22 June 2007.

b) BUDGET ESITMATE: $40,000

c) SECURITY CLEARANCE: None

d) PRINCIPAL FEATURES: Design and install a comprehensive automated inventory system utilizing passive RFID tags, door-mounted interrogators, hand-held terminals (HHT’s), and database software to assist in accounting for all Information Technology (IT) assets belonging to 141 SFS. There is 1 entrance point for the 141 SFS installation that require RFID interrogators. A minimum of 2 HHT’s are required to perform asset inventories. RFID must be highly durable for both deployed and at home station use.

e) APPLICABLE PUBLICATION: All of the vendors work will be in compliance with the most current applicable codes/standards and journeyman levels of workmanship.

f) All necessary desktop computers/laptop computers with the latest approved Air Force Standard Desktop Configuration with Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 2013 to act for both user interfaces and servers for the database to be provided by Installation Company.

g) WORK BY GOVERNMENT: Installation of complete system; with contractor directed expertise, remaining on-site until the system is functional.

h) LOCATION:

i) Base: Fairchild Air Force Base

ii) Directions to Project Site on Base: See attached Map/Instructions – Base Access Procedures

2) The project shall include but not be limited to the following work:

a) Assist the install and configure database software on “server” computer. Software should be able to import data in.CSV and .XLS (MS Excel) format. The software should also be capable of generating and reconciling inventories based on scans from either the wall-mounted interrogators or HHT’s. It should also provide audit-level reports to show scan history to include date/time/location of scans.

b) Assist in configuration of the computer and HHT’s to work with the database software. The client computer should be able to generate inventories for downloading onto the HHT’s, as well as importing HHT scans back into the database. Any items not showing up on initial scans should be quickly identified for further research.

c) Assist in initial tagging of all assets with passive RFID tags and associate each tag with its proper database object. Current scope calls for approximately 2,500 tags.

d) Provide end-user and administrator training for up to four (4) people on how to use the software and hardware for daily use, as well as any maintenance actions to optimize the database software. Also should include proper tagging of assets to maximize tag readability and longevity, and how to fine-tune reader sensitivity.
