About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Roof & Gutter Repair solicitation at Grissom Air Reserve Base (ARB) in Indiana. The solicitation (F5D3125016A001) covers repair/replacement of roofing and guttering for the Fitness Center (Building 563), with a project value between $100,000 - $250,000. The Q&A addresses two key points: existing roof conditions and base security protocols. Regarding the roof, existing documentation indicates a single roof layer with reflective coating, with core samples from December 2022 showing varying depths to the steel deck. A January 2023 sample analysis confirmed no asbestos is present.
The document also specifies a security requirement that all vehicles entering Grissom ARB must have camera systems disabled or covered. A site visit is scheduled for 16 April 2025 at 1000 hours, with mandatory pre-registration through the DBIDS (Defense Biometric Identification System) website. Contractors must comply with DFARS cybersecurity requirements, including providing a valid NIST 800-171 self-assessment score. The project is being conducted by the Department of the Air Force Reserve Command, with the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 238160 for roofing contractors.
