These buildings will be occupied and appliances being replaced will need to be removed from each room prior to installation by the contractor.
The Government will conduct quality assurance inspections to ensure all requirements of this statement of work are being met. The point of contact for this project will be TSgt Raymond Ireland. You can contact him via e-mail: raymond.ireland@us.af.mil, or by phone at (919) 722- 7483.

3. WORK WEEK: The work week shall be from Monday through Friday 0700-1600. There will be no deliveries or large installs planned on Friday unless unforeseen circumstances warrant it.
The contractor shall have fourteen duty days to remove and install all items.
4. STANDARDS: At the end of the day the contractor will need to do a thorough check in and around the dorm complex where they have been working to make sure that all trash they have produced has been picked up. They must not leave any dormitory furniture or equipment outside. This is to ensure that their work area is clean, safe and prevents furniture damage from weather before their departure.
5. WORKMANSHIP: All workmanship will comply with standard trade practice. The contractor shall provide all qualified personnel, equipment (to include hand tools, dollies, etc), and services required to perform the work.
6. CLEANING: The contractor shall keep the work site free from accumulation of waste materials. All waste generated by any work under this contract shall be handled, transported, stored, and disposed of off base by the contractor in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Daily and upon completion of this contract, the contractor shall leave the work site and premises in a clean, neat condition, satisfactory to the contracting officer or representative overseeing the work.
7. PROTECTION OF FACILITY: The contractor shall be responsible for protection of grounds, buildings, and equipment therein from loss or damage while performing services called mailto:raymond.ireland@us.af.mil

8. WARRANTY: Contractor will guarantee all workmanship and material defect free for a (5) year period from completion of this work.
9. SAFETY: The only means of gaining access to the second and third floor dormitory rooms are 3 sets of stairwells. Nothing can be lifted or dropped over the balcony railing without either being secured with a rope or by a mechanical lift. The contractor will abide by all OSHA requirements and any other local or standard trade practices to make a safe work area for all workers and dormitory residents.
10. STORAGE AND STAGING: All items in this contract will be stored at the contract awardees’ expense. Under no circumstances will the Government provide storage for any contractor for any reason. Under no circumstances will the Government receive or unload any items in this contract or otherwise for the contractor. If a truck or package arrives and there are no contractors here to retrieve it, it will be refused at the contractor’s expense. The only role that the government will take is getting the contractors on base from the gate, escorting the contractors to the site and assisting with staging.
11. AUTHORITY: Only the Contracting Officer has the authority to make any changes to the contract or items therein. If any changes are contemplated, arrangements need to be made with the Contracting Office for review and approval.
12. STANDARDS OF CONDUCT ON CAMPUS: Be professional and courteous at all times.
The most important fact to remember is this is a residence of males and females. At no time should any resident be made to feel uncomfortable by any contractor or employee. The utmost consideration for those sleeping is also recommended. The dorms are on a 100% NO SMOKING CAMPUS except for the designated smoking areas (gazebos). Contractors and employees who violate campus rules and standards will be referred to the Contracting Officer and may be asked to leave and not return.
13. REFRIGERATORS: All removed refrigerators shall be transported by the contractor to either the Civil Engineer HVAC shop or the Base Supply Warehouse. Dorm Management personnel will instruct contractor where to take replaced refrigerators. The HVAC shop and Base Supply Warehouse are both approximately 1 mile from the Dorm Campus.
