DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE
375TH CONTRACTING SQUADRON (AMC)
14 September 2023
MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD -
FROM: 375 CONS/PKB1
201 E WINTERS ST BLDG 50
SCOTT AFB IL 62225-5015
SUBJECT: Amendment 01 to RFQ - FY24 Fire Alarm Maintenance Service Contract @ Scott AFB IL - Solicitation
1. The purpose of this memorandum is to incorporate into the RFQ the specifics for a site visit that will be held @ 08:00 on Monday, 18 September 2023 at the request of contractors.
2. To attend the site visit, please submit to me via email (nicholas.weiss.5@us.af.mil) your company and the first and last name of the people attending the site visit. From there, I will submit a visitor’s pass that you will need to pick up no earlier than 7 AM at the Visitor’s Center the day of the site visit, but no later than 07:45 to ensure you make it in time. Note - thise is peak traffic hours for people arriving on base.
3. We will meet outside Building 50 at 0800. From there, the COR will take contractors to Building 1575 at 0815 and Building 5160 at 0900 to see aspirating smoke detection systems. Then, we will go to the fire house and look at the fire extinguisher area. Note - we had a request put in to “access fire suppression panels.” While the COR doesn’t specifically know what is being asked there, it should be clarified that there are far too many facilities with suppression systems to visit in one day. Nonetheless, we can go wherever contactors would like to see what is needed to clarify the requirement.
4. Questions regarding this amendment should be directed to Nicholas “Dillon” Weiss at nicholas.weiss.5@us.af.mil or 618-531-6066.
