About this file
This document is a specifications sheet for a 20-foot Connex shipping container required for federal procurement. The container is a standard 1-trip shipping container equipped with a 36-inch steel entry door, two 36-inch by 48-inch windows, and comprehensive electrical infrastructure including a 100-amp service panel, interior 4-foot LED lights, exterior LED floodlight, outlets, and a 50-amp generator inlet. Climate control is provided by an 18,500 BTU air conditioning unit with heating capability, frame, and weather cover. The container includes interior 2-pound spray foam insulation with a 10.5 R-value rating and exterior paint in new container tan RAL1015 color.
Bidders must submit pricing for two mutually exclusive delivery options. Option A (Government Offload) requires the contractor to deliver the container on a flatbed or standard freight trailer compatible with government forklift offloading, with the government providing all material handling equipment and personnel. This option requires a minimum 72-hour advance coordination with the government point of contact. Option B (Contractor Turnkey Offload) places full responsibility on the contractor for all offloading, rigging, and positioning operations using specialized equipment such as tilt-bed trailers, landolls, cranes, or contractor-furnished forklifts with qualified operators. Option B requires that offloading operations be compatible with site surfaces without damaging surrounding base infrastructure and requires a minimum 48-hour advance coordination with the government point of contact.
