1. The following questions were asked by vendors during the site visit on 23 Aug 11 regarding the subject solicitation. Answers are provided below each question.

QUESTION: Will the existing window screens stay in place?

RESPONSE: Yes

QUESTION: Are the width measurements for the window correct? 2740 mm seemed potentially excessive for the size of the window. Can the customer confirm the width measurements?

RESPONSE: The correct width should be approximately 1760 mm wide.

QUESTION:: The number of eyelets (10) stated in the solicitation seems incorrect to the vendors, can the customer confirm the number of eyelets?

RESPONSE: The number of eyelets does not need to be 10. The number of eyelets should be appropriate for the width of the window.

QUESTION: Does the customer want plastic wand or corded tilt controls for the blinds?

RESPONSE: plastic wand tilt controls

QUESTION: How many floors in the building?

RESPONSE: Four

QUESTION: Regarding installation, will the contractor be able to fit each window one after the other or will there be restricted access for installation.

RESPONSE: The dorm manager will work with the contractor to get installation accomplished in a timely manner. Installation should take place during Mon-Fri between the hours of 0800-1700. If the contractor submits a number of windows that can be installed on a given day, the dorm manager will arrange access for the same amount of windows.

QUESTION: Do all windows have existing pleated blinds?

RESPONSE: Yes

QUESTION: Do any of the windows have existing curtains?

RESPONSE: They do not have curtains but windows may have some type of personal drapery hardware that was installed by the dorm resident.

QUESTION: Are there the same amount of rooms on each floor?

RESPONSE: ‘B’ Block has only 8 rooms on the 4th floor, not 16 rooms
