About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of the Air Force's 502d Air Base Wing at Joint Base San Antonio, seeking market research on the Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) PR200 portable receiver. The RFI is targeting potential contractors to provide information about the device, with responses required by June 20, 2025, via email to specified Air Force personnel. Key questions probe vendors' capabilities, including small business status, delivery timelines, potential exclusive partnerships, compliance certifications, and awareness of competitive equipment.
The RFI emphasizes that the information gathering is purely for market research and technical/acquisition planning purposes, with no guarantee of future contract award. Vendors are asked to disclose socio-economic business classifications, delivery capabilities, potential DoD partnership restrictions, equipment compliance standards, and competitive landscape details. The government will use the collected information to determine an appropriate acquisition strategy for this brand-specific requirement, with the understanding that no evaluation results will be shared with participants.
