About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q+A) document for the Boresite Tower Planning Charette located at New Boston Space Force Station in New Hampshire. The project involves assessing potential courses of action (COAs) for a communications tower, with a focus on supporting 5G cellular capabilities for multiple wireless carriers. Key requirements include surveying the feasibility of the current monopole tower's 5G capabilities, determining potential tower locations, and providing coverage maps for Amherst, Bedford, and New Boston Space Force Station.

The document outlines several important project details: a new bridge will be passable for vehicles before November 1, 2025, and the electrical/server infrastructure was constructed in 2020. Work hour restrictions are 0600-1700, with weekend and after-hours work requiring Contracting Officer approval. Safety requirements mandate that workers have appropriate supervision, certifications, and training, and must follow the Army Corps of Engineers Safety manual (EM385-1-1). The current tower's existing antennas are considered backup systems, and there is already a trailer generator on-site. Contractors are expected to provide multiple potential approaches for the tower project and are not excluded from bidding on follow-on construction contracts.
