About this file

The document is a list of open questions for an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) procurement. Key details include a basic budget already authorized, with a project start date 45 days after order receipt. The intent is to detect unauthorized access to trailers, specifically focusing on access without proper credentials to the Access Control System. The questions seek clarification on security clearance requirements beyond US citizenship and the precise scope of intrusion detection (whether for individual trailers or a single perimeter enclosure).

This procurement is part of a full and open competition solicitation (F2BDAP5084A101) by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Hanscom Air Force Base. The effort is classified as Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) and involves procuring an intrusion detection system, its installation, and two years of support service. The solicitation is specifically for a brand name justified effort for a Vindicator system, and is open to both large and small businesses.
